I just wanted to run through a couple of things for you XHTML/CSS designers out there. In dropping in the flash image that I mentioned in yesterday’s blog we were looking to capture the site visitors attention – but you don’t have to have a flash editor set up to do this, nor have any flash coding skills. A great resource for ready tooled flash transitions, menus and inserts is Flashden. As a standards compliant coder using XHTML and CSS to present your pages there is nothing stopping you adding a little zest where you think it might be appropriate (remember a lot of people don’t like flash  – but it really does have some very interesting capabilities and uses). There are SEO considerations – some of which I’ll expand on tomorrow.
